Looking up to the Tete du Bostan

The Sun is Shining and Morzine is back to its beautiful sunny self!  We made the most of the weather and headed up for a bike ride to the Lac Mines D’Or – for those of you that are unsure of where this is – this is the lake that sits just above the well know Crapahute in the Vallee de La Manche.

View back towards Morzine

The Lac Mines D’Or is a stunning emerald lake nestling in the midst of the head of the valley – with a scrumptious restaurant that is only open in the summer – serving up the freshest fish around.  You can watch your waitress go and select the live fish from the crate and take it straight to the chef – nothing like ‘Fresh to you Plate’

We enjoyed the views and took time checking out potentially new routes down some of the well known and not so well known off piste routes in the area.  So if you are looking to go Beyond the Piste and explore a bit of the untouched back country give us a shout.

Glorious & Green

Hmm it seems like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips for first-time blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
