Prestige Mountain Chalets celebrates Morzine Source award win

Prestige Mountain Chalets has been voted ‘Favourite Accommodation’ at the coveted 2016 Source Awards for Excellence.

Prestige’s newly-renovated luxury barn conversion, Chalet Belle-Chery is located just above the village of La Cote D’Arbroz, ten-minute’s drive from Morzine and enjoys stunning panoramic views of Mont Chery, Morzine and Avoriaz.
Despite having only welcomed its first guests in winter 2014/15, Chalet Belle-Chery has already won the hearts of its discerning clients, many of whom have already returned for a second stay.
Alex Bennett, one of Prestige’s three directors, said: “We’re all blown away by this. To win such a highly-regarded award in Morzine after just two seasons and among such fierce competition is something we’re all really proud of. We’re very grateful to Source and to the judges for their amazing support.
“The team at Prestige is one-of-a-kind. Everyone has worked with such passion over the past eighteen months to create an unforgettable and welcoming stay for our guests, and this award is a fantastic recognition of that.”
Tim Freeman, also a director, nominated Prestige for the award. “Being a new kid on the block, we know we’ve got a lot of work to do to build trust with our prospective guests and show them that helping them to create amazing mountain memories is what Prestige is all about. The fact that lots of previous guests are re-booking is a brilliant sign for us; they know it works for their group or family and has everything they need for their break.
“Standards of chalet accommodation in the region have never been higher and the other nominees in this award category were some of the best Morzine has to offer. It was an honour just to be nominated among other operators we respect so much. The fact that Prestige has won has given us more drive than ever to keep evolving and improving to give our guests a mountain getaway with an edge.”

Murray Smith, also a director, is confident that the design of the chalet played a big part in the award win. “The best moment for us is when our guests arrive and first walk into the chalet. Their reactions are priceless! We’ve poured our heart and soul into making it a homely place where guests can really relax. Lots of them have told us they love the chic design and the unusual combination of a sense of cosiness and space they get thanks to the open-plan layout. The tranquil yet convenient location is also very popular.
“Because of the sheer size of the building we were able to get creative with the types of facilities we wanted to incorporate into this project that would take it to the next level. We agreed from the outset that we all wanted it to be a very special, luxurious hideaway. So we built a cinema room, a mezzanine level with games area and library, and a great terrace with a hot tub and installed panoramic windows so guests can breathe in the incredible views even when they’re inside.

“Thanks to the success of Chalet Belle-Chery we are already expanding and will be opening another chalet later this year, so these are really exciting times for us!”
